Before setting up a plate heat exchanger, we first need to give the heat transfer temperature difference of the hot fluid, that is, the inlet temperature and the required cooling temperature after heat transfer (and vice versa). The temperature difference of the heat exchange refrigerant mainly depends on the refrigeration unit selected by the host. Generally, the refrigeration unit we use now is a modular refrigeration unit, with a minimum outlet temperature of 6 ℃ and a maximum return temperature of 12 ℃ depending on the heat exchange capacity.

The total heat transfer of the hot fluid can be calculated by the temperature difference, mass flow rate, and specific heat at constant pressure of the hot fluid, that is, Q=Cp * qm * △ t. Using this heat transfer, the outlet temperature of the cold fluid can be obtained by reverse calculation. The specific process is quite complicated, and the author can refer to the heat transfer or plate heat exchanger design manual.
